In-situ Joomla upgrade

Upgrade within same branch of the CMS. Create (and test) backup of site (just in case) then overlay 'core files' with latest distribution carry out brief testing.

Complete Joomla site upgrade

Upgrade service with full back-up and roll-back protection. Whole process is approx 8 hours of work:

• backup current site (db and files)
• create 'mirror' (copy) of site
• implement the upgrade
• test, test and test again
• upgrade any misbehaving components
• more testing
• move the copy back to the live site
• test some more.

If problems are encountered it may be necessary to revert to original state.

Joomla 1.5 migration service.

Full migration from Joomla1.0 to Joomla 1.5.

Note: After this process is complete the client is handed a website that is operational but perhaps only 60-75% complete. Significant re-work will still required by the client in order to tidy up a few rough edges around their site.

Joomla 1.5 to 1.6 migration.

Full migration of your current 1.5 site to a 1.6 platform.

Note: Not all components are available for 1.6 - we will migrate all aspects of a website that are possible.

This needs ssh, ftp and joolma login details. Includes a written report of findings, changes and recommendations.

In situ scanning and cleaning.

Whilst this product is priced to allow a certain degree of investigation of 'matters arising' it is obviously not as flexible in this regard as the more complete service listed below:

• scan files for dropped hacker files
• audit server's security settings and tighten
• install 'hacker beware!' if supported by server

Full rebuild and cleanse

This product is priced to allow for investigation of tangential issues:

• start with new empty folders
• add updated 'core' Joomla CMS files
• copy across components (checking for vulnerabilities/updates)
• audit web server's security settings
• install 'hacker beware!' if supported by server

Every Joomla website design project is very different. These prices are very much a result of a 'finger in the air' process and as such are purely for guidance.

Websites aren't priced based on the number of pages - the biggest factor actually being the features (e-commerce, social integration, forums, video players, etc).  However we do find the number of pages generally scales with the addition of these feature so can be used as a proxy for the purposes of giving ball park figures.

More complex or more demanding sites will take longer and cost more. Simpler sites may be quicker to construct and therefore cheaper.

• A degree of training - we show you/your staff how to edit content and make basic changes to the site. (requires some basic computer knowledge)
